As the sun sets on the 19th Century, gangs rule the streets of Manhattan. The proud heroes of the Dead Rabbits, the Plug Uglies and the Bowery Boys have passed into legend. A new breed of gangster has taken their place. These toughs are more organized, more numerous and more deadly. Five great gangs war for control of the city: the Gas Housers, the Gophers, the Hudson Dusters, the Monk Eastmans and the Five Pointers. They clash in the streets with fists, knives and revolvers, in such force that even the cops can't control them. The winners will gain power, fame and money. The losers will be left bleeding in the gutter...

As of last weekend, we've rolled out some enhancements to the game that improve the behavior of players' inventory while they're incarcerated in The Tombs. When you're in your cell or in the yard, you'll now have access to all of the standard inventory management functionality, such as viewing and dropping items, and putting on and taking off articles of clothing, for items you find while serving your sentence. Once you're released, your normal inventory becomes accessible again, and you get to bring the items your found in The Tombs with you.Let us know what you think of this functionality on the wiki!
